THE KING'S POLICE MEDAL


Established in 1909 for award to officers of Police and Fire Brigades throughout Her Majesty's Dominions.
Twenty-four Glasgow Police Officers received the KPM for Gallantry, one of whom also received a bar to the medal for a second brave act . Two awards have been posthumous.
Forty-five other officers received the KPM for Distinguished Service.
