GRAHAM C. HENDERSON
On 31 August, 1927, Constable Henderson saw a runaway Clydesdale horse, pulling
a wagon. He ran alongside the horse for about 350 yards, blowing his whistle
to warn the public and striking the horse in the face. He was successful in diverting
the horse and it ran into a building.
The size of the horse greatly increased the danger to the constable.
